Trisha North, Group VP - People & Culture

In her role as Group Vice President - People & Culture, Trisha North is responsible for delivering people strategy for Discovery Sports and Discovery’s International direct to consumer businesses.

Trisha has a wealth of leadership experience having performed a range of senior HR roles in the Discovery business since originally joining the company in 2007.

Having started her HR career at international logistics provider, CHEP, Trisha moved to multinational defence technology company, QinetiQ, as a Global Expat Manager. Trisha then joined the Discovery Group as a HR Manager, where she partnered with key stakeholders in European offices in France, Spain, Italy and Central Europe to facilitate delivering business goals.

Trisha was promoted to the role of HR Director in 2010 where she led a team of HR Advisors and Managers to deliver HR Business Partnering to Corporate Groups such as Finance, HR, Operations, Legal, Engineering and IT. In 2014, following Discovery’s investment in Eurosport, she was made Vice President HR Corporate Groups & Eurosport Integration, leading the HR workstream through the acquisition and integration of Eurosport into the Discovery group.

Trisha spent two years as VP Human Resources where she led transformational change with the aim of growing Discovery’s International direct to consumer business, before being promoted to Group VP – People & Culture in January 2019 and adding responsibility for Eurosport’s people strategy to her remit.

Trisha has developed a proven track record and a wealth experience in delivering large scale HR projects across Change Management; Mergers & Acquisitions; Onboarding; Talent and Performance Management, and Employee Engagement.

Trisha, who is based in Discovery’s London office, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree focused in European Business and French from Loughborough University.
